Congratulations, friends! We've made it past the halfway point!
Today, I'd like to offer you the chance to do some of the talking and reflecting - our sharing and reflecting is a two-way street. So I invite you to pray through these questions and answer any of them that you are led to. If you'd like, send me your responses and I will share them (anonymously, unless you give permission to include your name).
1. What has been the most challenging part of the fast?
2. What has been the easiest?
3. What has God shown you or is teaching you so far in the shared experience?
Many blessings!
Wendy
Hi, Wendy! I am fasting right now as well, and I think we started at about the same time. The most challenging part for me has been remaining focused. The first week I started strong. Now as I finish my second week I realize I haven't spent near enough time in prayer and in the Word. I've been distracted. But, I am determined, with the Lord's help, to be intentional about praying more during my final week. I don't want to miss those precious moments with the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI pray that as you draw near to the Lord during your fast that you experience Him in new and exciting ways!
Oh, did you ever try the Date Honey recipe? :)

Hi Kristen,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear from you again! I'm posting tonight some folks' reflections; they have been meaningful and interesting - check back!
I tried the banana cream pie! It was good - and my kids all scarfed it up!I loved all three of the main parts - the date/walnut (I used mostly pecan) crust, the filling and the date honey - on their own so much that I think next time, I'll keep them separated and enjoy! The date honey did redeem my oatmeal, however!
I join you in your prayer as you are fasting and praise God for the connection we can make in the Holy Spirit!
